Effective Date: These Terms of Use (“TOU”) govern your use of the Sentraal mobile app (“the App”) and the website (“the Site”), operated by us (“Sentraal,” “we,” or “our”), based in Paris, France. By accessing or using Sentraal, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App or the Site.
Eligibility
To use Sentraal, you must be at least 18 years old. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
User Responsibilities
By using Sentraal, you agree to: Use the app solely for personal, non-commercial purposes; Provide accurate information (particularly when creating your account); Not copy, modify, or attempt to extract the app’s source code; Comply with applicable laws and respect other users; Not post offensive, illegal, or harmful content (e.g., profile photos, comments).
Localization & Customization
To provide you with personalized recommendations, Sentraal may use: Your GPS location Your preferences (e.g., cuisine, atmosphere, budget) You can manage access to your location in your device's settings. Some features may not work without this.
Payments & Subscriptions
Sentraal offers in-app purchases and subscriptions through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play: Subscriptions are automatically renewed unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account upon confirmation of the purchase. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store settings. Sentraal does not store your payment information. Refunds: Refunds are processed by Apple or Google in accordance with their policies. Sentraal does not offer direct refunds.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to learn how we use your data.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account that violates these Terms of Service or engages in harmful behavior, without prior notice.
Disclaimer
Sentraal provides recommendations based on algorithms and user preferences. We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or safety of the suggested locations. To the extent permitted by law, Sentraal shall not be liable for: Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; or loss of data, revenue, or injuries resulting from the use of the app.
Changes
We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. In the event of a significant change, you will be notified. Your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the new Terms of Use.
Applicable Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws in effect in France and the European Union (EU).
